NEW TO TTB.GOV

Staying current just got easier with TTB Updates free e-mail subscription service, designed to keep all of our stakeholders informed of news, rulemakings, upcoming seminars or workshops, and other developments at TTB. This secure e-mail subscription management service permits users to customize their updates, which enables them to receive e-mails related only to the topics to which they have subscribed.

TTB Updates allows users to choose their subscription preferences. Subscription options include newsletters (like this one), guidance, news releases, rulings, enforcement actions, and seminar and training opportunities. Users can add or delete subscription items themselves, and have the option to password protect their accounts for increased security. Users can opt to have TTB Updates sent immediately, daily, weekly, or monthly to their e-mail accounts, or directly to a wireless device.

So how does it work? This e-mail subscription management service monitors designated Web site content and sends an e-mail to alert subscribers when new information is posted on TTB's public Web sites. Subscribers will receive e-mails from TTB at the address usttb@govdelivery.com.

To subscribe to TTB Updates, visit TTB's Web site at www.TTB.gov, or subscribe directly now at TTB Updates.

Anyone who previously subscribed to receive this newsletter directly from Frosty and Susan has been automatically signed up to continue to receive it through TTB Updates. You may change your subscription preferences at any time and you may add other e-mail alerts too if you choose.

TTB NEWSLETTER CHANGES

As you can see, we implemented changes in our newsletter format and delivery system (see the previous article). We are thrilled with the success of this newsletter (we currently have more than 700 subscribers!), and although it appears to be coming from a different source ("TTB.gov" <usttb@govdelivery.com>) it still contains quality information that we hope is of value to you. We have also begun to post the current TTB Newsletter on our Web site, along with past issues.

If you have suggestions for how we may further improve the newsletter, please let Susan and/or Frosty know. We consider this your newsletter and are committed to serving you.

BONDED WINE PREMISES REMINDER

A reminder that all bonded wine premises that file monthly or quarterly reports of operations are required to conduct their complete physical annual inventories of all wines and spirits in storage for the period ending on June 30th in accordance with 27 CFR 24.313, unless TTB was notified in writing that the annual inventory would be taken on a different date.

CROATIA AND UKRAINE ADDED TO WINE APPELLATION WEB PAGE

Our International Trade Division (ITD) has added Croatia and Ukraine to its "Wine Appellations of Origin" Web page. This Web page was developed to serve as a primary source for information about appellations of origin and as an electronic database of all domestic and foreign appellations of origin. The Web page is at http://www.ttb.gov/appellation/index.shtml. Croatia and Ukraine are the sixth and seventh foreign appellations to be added to the site, joining Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Zimbabwe, and Argentina.
