COLAS ONLINE WORKSHOP
TTB will provide hands-on training by labeling specialists for our electronic label approval system, COLAs Online, in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 18, 2007, and in Houston, Texas, on September 12, 2007. For more information or to register, please click below.
SUBMISSIONS WITH APPLICATIONS FOR LABEL APPROVAL
TTB would like to remind you that you are no longer required to submit actual bottles when applying for label approval (COLA) for clear or acetate labels or for etched or engraved bottles. |
In the TTB Newsletter, we compile the top TTB news of the week and other helpful information about the Bureau and the Federal alcohol and tobacco laws and regulations we enforce.
Please send any questions and/or comments to Susan Stewart, Executive Liaison for Industry Matters (susan.stewart@ttb.gov) and/or Frosty Chapman, State Liaison (forrest.chapman@ttb.gov).

Instead, you should submit photos of a filled, representative sample bottle with your label application(s). In addition, we will also accept printer proofs or artist renditions of etched bottles.
This applies to both electronic and paper COLA submissions. Please ensure that photos clearly show all information that appears on the container so we may use them to determine if all mandatory label information is readily legible on a contrasting background. When using clear labels or etched bottles please remember that the color of the container and the liquid within may affect the legibility and contrast of mandatory information.
If you have any questions about this or any other labeling issue, please contact the Advertising, Labeling and Formulation Division at alfd@ttb.gov or toll free at 866-927-ALFD (2533). |
