COLAs ONLINE OUTAGECOLAs Online will be unavailable beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET on Friday, May 16, 2008. There will be no access to the system including the COLAs Public Registry, viewing images and Printable Versions of COLAs, and submitting or updating applications for review and approval. Access to COLAs Online for submitting and updating applications and the Public Registry should return to normal operations by noon ET on Saturday, May 17. Access to COLAs Online for viewing Printable Versions of paper applications should return to normal operations by noon ET on Monday, May 19. TTB PROPOSES TO REVISE DISTILLED SPIRITS PLANT REGULATIONS - NOTICE NO. 83TTB proposes to comprehensively amend its distilled spirits plant regulations to modernize the requirements for operating such a plant and make the regulations easier to understand. We must receive comments on this notice on or before August 6, 2008. To submit comments electronically via Regulations.gov, go to Docket No. TTB-2008-0004 and click on the "Add Comments" icon for Notice No. 83. WHEN DISASTER STRIKESATTENTION: RETAILERS, WHOLESALERS, IMPORTERS, EXPORT WAREHOUSE PROPRIETORS, AND MANUFACTURERS OF BEVERAGE ALCOHOL AND TOBACCO PRODUCTS: Businesses may file claims with TTB for the payment (refund or allowance of credit) of Federal excise taxes paid on beverage alcohol or tobacco products lost, rendered unmarketable, or condemned by a duly authorized official under various circumstances, including where the President has declared a major disaster. PLEASE NOTE: Supporting documentation is necessary to process your claim without delay. You must submit on the claim form any evidence or statement made by State or local officials regarding the condition of the property. You must include a copy of your insurance policy with your claim. If your records are lost, you must obtain other supporting documentation that might be available such as copies of invoices from your supplier, copies of inventory records from your accountant, or copies of banking or insurance records. |
