Executive Liaison for Industry and State Matters
This position was created in 2005 to enhance our relationships with all TTB regulated industries and their representatives and to expand communications both to and from industry. As Executive Liaison Ms Stewart Evans is always exploring creative ways to facilitate effective interchanges between industry and TTB. Ms. Stewart Evans also oversees TTB’s State Liaison, who performs a similar function with State alcohol beverage control agencies.
A native of Tonawanda, New York, Ms. Stewart Evans began her Federal career with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) in 1988 as a field inspector. She held a variety of positions in the field before coming to Bureau Headquarters in Washington, DC in 1999 as the head of the Alcohol Labeling and Formulation Division. During that time, Ms. Stewart Evans was instrumental in the development of COLAs Online, the Bureau’s first e-filing system. In January 2003, when the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) and ATF were divided, she became the first Assistant Administrator for Headquarters Operations. In 2005 she was appointed to the newly-created position of Executive Liaison for Industry Matters.
As part of her duties, Ms. Stewart Evans is available to address industry forums regarding TTB and industry issues.
