
Robert M. Angelo
Director, Trade Investigations Division
Robert M. Angelo was appointed Director of the Trade Investigations Division (TID) of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, effective May 15, 2005. Mr. Angelo directs a staff of over 80 field supervisors and investigators and is responsible for overseeing TTB’s application, product integrity, consumer complaint, and trade practice investigations.
Mr. Angelo started his career with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms in 1991 as an inspector in the Boston Field Office. After 6 years in the field, Mr. Angelo transferred to ATF’s Office of Training and Professional Development in Washington, DC where he developed and ran revenue-related training courses for ATF inspectors. Mr. Angelo was promoted to Area Supervisor of the Richmond, VA Field Office in June of 2000 and remained there until coming over to TTB in June of 2004 as a program manager for TID. Mr. Angelo was promoted to Deputy Director of TID in December of 2004.
Mr. Angelo graduated from the University of Lowell with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
